Custom English longbow - Skellow

Newest bow to be leaving the shop: custom English longbow named Skellow.

The name is from Robin Hood's Well: Robin Hood's Well is situated six miles north-west of Doncaster, on the south-bound side of the Great North Road. A traveller in 1634 left this charming description, "We tasted a cup at Robin Hood's Well; and then were in his rocky chair of ceremony dignified with order of knighthood and sworn to observe his laws".

Beauty bow, off to a good home in Nova Scotia, Canada.

Jamie I'm sure you had a great time in Brittain. I hope you have time to write up your experiences there, especialy if you had a chance to examine anyof the warbows and MILITARY arrows recovered from the Mary Rose.

Hey Nick,
Thanks for the note. The trip was great. The workshops went really well, and the UK is now 14 yew longbow richer. We also booked our return trip for next year.
I will definitely look into writing up a summary of the trip. The Agincourt shoot and the Mary Rose Museum were both fantastic. The problem is there doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day!
